James Ede passed away on the 28th February 2008 at the Greenwich and Bexley Cottage Hospice. He was 33 years old and worked for a catering company called Sodexho. James lived in Thamesmead and leaves behind a father, two sisters, four nephews and three nieces . James was diagnosed with oesophageal cancer in January 2008.
James grew up in originaly in Bexleyheath, and went to Uplands Infants and Junior school before going to Bexleyheath Secondary.
James was the captain of the 14th West Kent Boys' Brigade (Bexleyheath) company. He joined the 14th West Kent Company at the age of six, and worked his way through all the sections, and gained his silver Duke of Edinburgh award and Queen's Badge before becoming a lieutenant in 1993. He took over as captain in 2004.
James was one of the most considerate, helpful, kindest people you could ever hope to meet. Love and miss you loads.
